Privacy Policy for HedgeHog Workflow Engine

This Privacy Policy describes how the HedgeHog Workflow Engine Chrome Extension (“the Extension”) handles your information.
1. What the Extension Does
The HedgeHog Workflow Engine is an orchestration tool that helps you build, organize, and run multi-step AI workflows. It generates prompts and workflow steps locally in your browser. You choose where those prompts go — you can cut, paste, or drag and drop them into any large language model (LLM) or AI service you use (for example, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other provider). The Extension itself does not route your prompts to any specific AI provider.
The Extension processes the following types of data, locally on your device:
- User-Provided Information: Prompts, workflow instructions, parameters, and any API keys you choose to enter into the Extension.
- Workflow Data: The prompts, steps, outputs, and related content created during your sessions.
- Web Page Content: Content from web pages only when you actively select it or run the Extension on a page (for example, text you highlight or drag into a workflow).
- Usage Data: Basic, local error logs and diagnostic information needed to keep the Extension stable.
Your information is used solely to operate the Extension’s workflow features:
- To build, save, and run your workflows and prompts.
- To let you transfer prompts and content to the AI services or tools you choose.
- To debug and improve the Extension’s performance.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send your data to any server operated by us.
- AI/LLM Services: Your prompts reach third-party AI services only when you paste, drop, or submit them yourself. Any such service is governed by its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.
- API Keys: If you configure optional integrations with your own API keys, requests go directly from your browser to that provider over an encrypted connection. We never receive or store those keys on our servers.
5. Data Security and Storage
- Local Storage: Your preferences, saved workflows, and any credentials you enter are stored locally on your device using Chrome’s built-in storage mechanisms.
- Data in Transit: Any communication between the Extension and a third-party service you configure uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- No Centralized Storage: We operate no backend servers and do not store your prompts, workflows, or API keys anywhere other than your own device.
6. Chrome Web Store Commitments
In compliance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, the HedgeHog Workflow Engine:
- Uses data only to provide its workflow-orchestration functionality.
- Does not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the Extension’s single purpose.
- Does not use user data for creditworthiness checks, lending, or advertising.
- Does not sell user data to third parties.
7. Your Rights and Controls
- You may delete all of the Extension’s local data at any time by clearing the Extension’s storage or uninstalling it.
- You may revoke any API access by deleting or regenerating keys in your own third-party accounts.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, the revised version will be posted at this page with an updated effective date.
